Testimonials

“Doug Bornstein was recommended to me by several TBMOPA members and I couldn’t have been more pleased with Doug’s representation.  His knowledge of the various models and the fleet in general was most helpful in deciding which model to purchase.  Doug’s extensive network of contacts in the industry for various services such as pre-buy, instruction and insurance was also very beneficial and saved me time, effort and money.    Doug’s a great communicator and won’t leave you waiting for answers.  For anyone looking to make a purchase of this magnitude it’s important to have a buyer’s agent on your side.  Doug fills that role with extreme competence.

After being recommend by a reputable TBM maintenance facility,I enlisted Doing to help sell my 700B. I could immediately tell that he had a wealth of knowledge about the airplane, and was well in-tune with the market conditions. He was very responsive and accommodating as we did most of the communication while i was traveling halfway around the world. Doug was able to get a full price offer within days of putting it on the market. He was a true professional throughout the entire process, and it was by far the easiest aircraft transaction that I've ever been a part of. I will be using Doug again for my next TBM acquisition!

“In today’s business climate it’s getting harder to build solid relationships. What’s in it for me and the path of least resistance is a prevailing theme too often. Style over substance, with lots shine and promises with very little follow through. Especially when any extra work is involved. This norm, sadly, is true today in many sectors of life and business. Recently, I purchased a TBM and had a rare experience of having my expectations exceeded!

Doug Bornstein and PRH Aircraft sales were 1st class from the beginning. I never had to call Doug, he always kept me informed right to the end. My pilot was young, and my insurance couldn’t find me a rate under $6,000 per month. Doug has many contacts in all areas of aviation and found me a company for under $3,000 per month. Doug also helped me market and sell my Cirrus, which closed in just 2 weeks. I took delivery of my TBM at the same time my Cirrus sale was closed. I didn’t spend one day without a plane! The purchase of the TBM and sale of my Cirrus were so smooth and simple, it far exceeded my expectations!

To top it off, about 5 months later one of my landing gear struts failed in Spokane. I was looking at over $20,000 to get temporary strut and then fly plane to California to get strut rebuilt and then brought back to Spokane, taking a month to get it in and back.  Doug’s contacts in California worked out shipping of just the strut to rebuild, then shipped back to Spokane in just 7 days and for about $10,000! Bigtime service after the sale!

Doug is what I call a true pro, in a world with so few still around. Doug will always be my go-to for all things aviation. The complete package, you won’t find anyone better".”

“Doug helped me sell my TBM 700 during the height of COVID. Not only did he get top dollar for it, he arranged for the international delivery and pre-buy inspection! Honest, hard working, and knowledgable about all things TBM”

“I was referred to Doug Bornstein via multiple members of the TBMOPA a couple years ago when I started looking at TBM’s. Prior to buying a TBM, I had bought and sold every other airplane I had over the years myself. Doug respectfully, but quickly helped me realize, that could be an expensive risk with TBM’s having no prior experience owning one.

Doug is a pleasure to work with. He is patient and asked all the right questions to steer me away from what I thought I wanted, toward a much better fit for mission profile, maintenance, and resale value. Doug has vast, detailed knowledge of not only all of theTBM models, but much of the actual fleet. I discovered he has helped broker many of the better TBM’s in the current fleet. Doug found a number of excellent airplanes, all off market, and gave me very honest pros and cons of each until he found the perfect fit at a fair price, in an extremely constrained market.

The aircraft was EXACTLY as he had advertised, and I flew it trouble free for 7 months and 190 hours until purchasing a New one later that year. Naturally, I contacted Doug to assist in re-marketing the airplane for me. He sold it in 3 days for more than I had expected, thanks to his acute sense of the “real” market and the large list of qualified brokerage clients with whom he works.

I would strongly recommend Doug to those in need of Aviation brokerage assistance.”

“Doug was instrumental in helping me to purchase my TBM 700B. He was always available to answer all of my questions and help guide my purchase decision. He is extremely knowledgeable in the TBM world and his logbook reviews for potential negatives was very thorough. His knowledge comes from experience. I had no TBM experience prior to meeting Doug and his service was invaluable to me. Not knowing what to look for could become costly very quickly. Should I be in the market to sell or upgrade I will look no further than Doug.

I came in contact with Doug by complete happenstance as I was headed down the road with one of the traditional dominant marketplace sellers.  However, after a lengthy conversation with an experienced TBM mechanic I was introduced to Doug who took the time to educate me on the process.  Since I was late in the year on my decision to buy a TBM (mid Dec),  I took Doug’s suggestion and decided to move forward with him.  I am a pretty good judge of character but still one never knows if they are getting a Sales Pitch or a person who is committed to seeing the transaction through to completion.  Fortunately my instinct were right and even after having to reject the first plane because of an out of spec Pratt engine Doug lined up another plane with similar specs and in less than a week had the plane inspected, flown and title transferred.  Doug was responsive and took the time to educate me and answer my questions.  As we all know a step up to a TBM is not an inexpensive endeavor.  His knowledge, experience and  professionalism gave me the confidence in my decision to push for the purchase.  I highly recommend him and the people he associates with.  Don’t take on this transaction by yourself…use Doug, you won’t regret it.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Doug at PRH on two major occasions: first, when he helped me purchase my TBM 700B, and later when he guided me through its sale. Doug's expertise and professionalism made both transactions seamless and stress-free, which was invaluable given my busy schedule.

Having experienced his exceptional service during the purchase, it was an easy decision to turn to him again for the sale. Doug’s deep industry knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to his clients gave me complete confidence in the process from start to finish.

As I prepare to re-enter the TBM market in the near future, there’s no question that Doug will be the one I trust to help me make an informed and confident purchase. Working with him is truly a pleasure. Thank you again, Doug, for your outstanding support!

I first contacted Doug at PRH Aircraft Sales about purchasing a TBM on New Year’s Day.  I never thought I’d hear back from him since it was a holiday and instead I heard back immediately.  I had seen Doug active online and I knew I wanted someone in my corner who knew the market and knew TBM’s well since I had not owned a TBM before.  Doug was a consummate professional and communicated with me very well throughout the process.  We shopped many airplanes and made offers on several that didn’t work out.  Doug never got frustrated with me and we finally found a 930 that checked all the boxes and we got a great deal on the airplane.  Most brokers are taking a percentage of the sale and that always raises questions in my mind if I am getting the best deal or not because we are not perfectly aligned.  I preferred to pay someone a flat fee directly for helping me find the airplane I wanted and we were always aligned in our goals.  Doug always moved at my pace and I never felt rushed or pressured in the process.  As we got closer to the sale, Doug helped arrange training in the aircraft and helped me get setup for my annual next year as it can be hard to get into service shops.  Doug’s knowledge of the TBM fleet and his experience buying and selling aircraft has been invaluable.  I appreciate all he has done for me in this purchase process and will be using him in the future for sure!

After a year of deciding whether or not I could (and should) buy a TBM I ventured out into the turbine market.  Being a piston guy, (A36 Bonanza), I had almost no knowledge of turbine engines, pressurization, de-icing, and real time radar.  I made some inquiries about a few planes offered on Controller.com and quickly found out that the TBM market is very small.  One name came up more than once when I inquired about plane history or what the hot buttons were that I should look for in a TBM..  That name was Doug Bornstein.

I called Doug with a few questions about a 700A that had been completely redone inside and out.  He knew the plane and the man selling it for the owner.  He talked with me for almost half an hour.  He filled me in on the plane and assured me the man I was dealing with was a good guy I could trust. He gave me advice on what to expect with my insurance rates, maintenance costs, etc.  He was so helpful and had no skin in the game!

Two months later, the deal had not been made and I walked away from it.  A month after that Doug called to ask if I had purchased the 700A and how was I doing with it?  After another long discussion covering all sorts of TBM ownership issues I hired Doug to help me find the right plane for my needs and budget.

Doug found options for me right away, one was not even on the market yet, and we worked through the pros and cons of each aircraft.  His knowledge of the individual planes, his experience as an owner/pilot of two TBMs, and his sense for the sellers’ motivation all came into play.  He worked hard to make the deals right for me.  I had a tight timeline and a limited budget.  He helped guide me through the tough choice between bells and whistles vs engine hours and maintenance records.

In the end I ended up with a plane with a fresh TBO engine and a panel that almost exactly matched my Garmin package in the Bonanza.  Doug made the borescope happen in two days.  He had the logs reviewed in a weekend, and the paperwork was a breeze thanks to his organizational skill.  Doug got me a great insurance policy with the best instructional requirements, and because of his past relationship with the premier TBM training company in America, I was accepted as a student on short notice.   Talk about one stop shopping!

To anyone looking to buy a TBM I would offer this advice:  Hire Doug Bornstein.  This was the single largest purchase for me in my life and Doug made me feel like everything was going to work out.  Without ever meeting him face to face I trusted him implicitly.  Now I’m cruising at 30,000 feet going 300 knots.  Thank you, Doug!

Doug Bornstein represented a TBM I was interested in to purchase. After several calls and questions to Doug about TBM’s in general and the TBM he was representing specifically it became apparent right away this guy had walked the walk for years concerning all things TBM. The unique thing about Doug was he genuinely wanted a win-win on both sides of the transaction. For full disclosure I chose to not hire a broker and just purchase on my own. He was very truthful and straight up through the whole transaction even when I was a little naive and pretty green. It was refreshing working with someone honest and very knowledgeable!
